I am a British theatre-maker, writer and educator. I received a in BA Acting from the Royal Conservatoire Scotland and went on to study for two years at the École Internationale de Théâtre Jacques Lecoq. I received an MA by research from Birmingham University proposing a new strategy for play-writing – a (play)box, written in both text, images, sounds and material things. I am continuing my research into the relationship between devised theatre-making and playwriting in a PhD at Royal Holloway University. I am also Associate Dean, Practice Research at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) in Singapore where I specialise in teaching movement and devised theatre-making.
